As in previous years, ten of you lucky screenwriters will have the opportunity to meet with producers and development executives from some of Ireland’s most exciting production companies.

Each writer will have 15 minutes with each producer/exec to either pitch an idea or simply introduce themselves.

Our hope is that the event will lead to new partnerships, new projects and new opportunities for the selected screenwriters.

The event will take place in Griffith College, Dublin on Thursday Dec 5th.

How to Enter:

Email festival (at) disf (dot) ie:

1) A one-page pitch of your project

2) A five-page sample of your screenwriting*

3) A one-page writers bio.

All documents should be sent as pdfs.

We will select the best ten submissions who will then be invited to the event to pitch their ideas to producers.

Previous events have featured Samson Films, Treasure Entertainment, Wild Atlantic Films, Deadpan Pictures, Wild Atlantic Films, Vico Films, Tailored Films, Danu Media, World 2000 Entertainment, ShinAwiL, Vico Films, Four Quadrant Films, Tile Media and more.

*The sample script should be by you as sole writer and can be produced/unproduced.

Rules:

Deadline: Nov 15, 2024 @12pm - late submissions cannot be considered.

Writers must be over 18 and resident on the island of Ireland.

Projects must be unattached to any production company and the writer must hold the sole rights to any pitches or samples sent to us.

Submissions from writing teams will be selected as one project.

The judges decisions are final.

We are not currently looking for documentary or animation projects. We may in future run event for these formats.
